Astrology-Informed Therapy (AIT) is an unregulated field I am currently pioneering; as such, it does not have a specific governing or licensing body.

My services offer a unique blend of ancient astrological insights and symbolism, integrated with psychological principles. It is essential to understand that AIT does not currently constitute, nor is it considered a substitute for, licensed psychological therapy or medical advice. AIT differs from conventional psychological therapy, although some of the skills utilised also fall under the domain of some traditional therapeutic professional practices.

I am not working as a licensed psychologist, psychotherapist or mental health professional in this role. While I am actively studying for a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy and do work as a therapist and trainee counselling psychologist in that capacity, my AIT services are entirely separate from, do not resemble, or represent my regulated psychological training or practice, despite this approach being philosophically more aligned with Jungian analysis. When providing AIT, I am not acting as a licensed psychotherapist or psychologist (trainee or otherwise), nor do I claim to be.

Furthermore, my approach differs from that of some astrologers in that I do not offer predictions or read your birth chart prescriptively. Instead, I aim to enhance ethical practice in the astrological field by using the birth chart to explore a dynamic set of archetypes used symbolically as a framework for exploring the individual’s psyche. This is because I believe this framework can provide a launchpad for personal exploration, placing the client at the centre of the therapeutic experience rather than the astrologer.

If, at any point during our work together, I believe you would benefit from the support of a qualified mental health professional, I will refer you accordingly. I also reserve the right to discontinue AIT sessions if they appear unhelpful for your well-being. Similarly, you reserve the right to terminate our work together at your own discretion, without consequence, penalty or needing to explain.
